Is Hot Water Extraction the Best Way to Clean Carpets?

Carpet Cleaners Hopkins MN

When most people think about carpet cleaning, steam cleaning or what the industry refers to as "hot water extraction" (HWE) is the first thing that pops into their heads. The Big Boys push this treatment hard, because it's what they advertise the most. Supposedly, hot water gets most things clean, right? In many instances that is very true. It can also do a lot of damage if not put under control.

Well, HWE is one piece in the cleaning puzzle. Other technologies and methodologies have been developed that put HWE under the table, so to speak. HWE is very very effective in getting greasy, oily stains that restaurants see often. For those instances, steam cleaners shine. It's just that HWE isn't effective nor is it the most practical for every job.

So, what do you do if you need your entire floor and ready to go in a couple of hours? HWE would be your worse choice then because it requires the carpet to dry for at least 4-6 hours, sometimes more. That, of course, is if the technician knows what she is doing and doesn't spread out more water than is supposed to be spread.

Low moisture carpet cleaning, on the other hand, uses a small amount of water and based on our experience alone, cleans the carpet better. Moreover, the carpet will stay cleaner for a longer period of time. You may need a touch up or two but overall, it lasts longer. 60 minutes. That's all the time you'll need before walking heavily on the carpet after we're finished. Sixty full minutes. Not bad.

Very Low Moisture (VLM) solutions also use professional portable equipment. Portable does imply inferior but our equipment is top of the line. Why is portability important? First, there are no open doors to worry about, especially in the winter when the thermometer drops below freezing. There are no propped open doors that present a security risk. And staff do not have to hop over hoses while the technicians completes their work. Portable machines are just a lot easier to manage from our end and on your end.

Using leading edge VLM carpet cleaning methods and techniques just makes sense. You have (1) much faster dry times, (2) your employees get back to work faster which makes them much more productive, and (3) less water to worry about and to waste (friendly to environment). The environment will thank you. But don’t take our word for it. Try us out. Prove us wrong! See how clean we will get your worst area of commercial carpet. Take our challenge. You'll be glad you did. Our goal is to be the best commercial carpet cleaners in Hopkins MN and in all of the Twin Cities metro region. It's a bold goal, but nobody ever got anywhere by being timid. We hope to prove our value one customer at a time.
